We just dropped by after a doctor's appointment with our daughter and had a relaxing early dinner. I got a delicious mushroom bacon crepe, my husband got the veggie one, and my daughter got a cheeseburger with fries (which were quite good). Everything came out fast, and was fresh and tasty. Beignets for dessert, and we're all happy and on our way home in time for the babysitter. We also met the restauranteur, Najib, who is warm and wonderful. We'll be back soon! Merci Najib - à bientôt!

I was here very early on a Saturday morning because I had left my car to be serviced nearby on Geary Street. That meant I had a couple of hours where I had nothing but my feet and my appetite to get me through the wait. A quick stroll to the familiar shopping center in Laurel Heights seemed like the right thing to do given the brisk weather, and this cafe was almost as still as a tomb. I have to admit I was wondering where the pancake-and-waffle crowd was, but I soon became preoccupied with the framed photos of Marcel Marceau on the wall. Marcel Marceau? What a blast from the past. Sunday nights were not complete until he did the "trapped in a box" and "pulled by a rope" mime bits on "The Ed Sullivan Show". Anyhow, my baby boomer memories aside, I had a pretty good $14.50 Vegetable Scramble where I paid an extra $1.50 for egg whites only. It had mushrooms, spinach, and tomato - the usual suspects - and came with a fruit cup and something I normally pass on - toasted country levain bread - not because I wouldn't like it (photo: http://bit.ly/35TiKqL). I did but carbs, y'know. How would Marcel mime that? FOOD - 4 stars...tasty egg white omelette AMBIANCE - 3.5 stars...all by myself SERVICE - 3.5 stars...reasonably reasonable TOTAL - 4 stars...good meal to have during a car maintenance break RELATED - Time for breakfast? Here's a collection of places I've tried and reviewed: http://bit.ly/35UVclz

I came in today and had a great experience, eric and najib were so helpful. The service was courteous and the food came fast and was well executed I had a classique crepe and niçoise salade and my daughter had the rigolo salmon We ended the meal with a delicious french beignet trio. So yummy. I would definitely recommend rigolo if you re in the area.

It's a little crowded during lunch, and the tables are close together, the portions are right sized, and the $$ for lunch is very fair. The burgers seem to be very popular, it seemed like 50% of all orders were burgers. I got the goat cheese, walnut and beet salad, substitute walnuts for almonds and add chicken. The team was happy to make substitutions, it was no problem! The salad was perfect, it was dressed with a house made vinaigrette, tossed and piled high. Cost $12.99 + $2.99 for chicken. Food was 5 stars, minus 1 star for how cramped we felt.
